| What a Weekend! |
[31 Jul 2006|09:49am] |
It has been so long since I have updated. Here's the summer update:
Well I finally found a job, I was hired as a temp for a 2 1/2 month project for Home Properties, a real estate company located in the downtown Clinton Square building. I absolutely love this job. For the first time ever, I have freedom at my work. I do not have a boss who barks down orders nor do I report to anyone about my work on a daily basis. Three of us were hired to help the Marketing team on a photo project. I have my own little cubicle, I get free office supplies, we get to wear jeans on Fridays. Sometimes they serve us breakfast pizza. I even get free parking in the Midtown garage, which usually goes for like $60/month. Those are just some of the many perks of my job. I have one month left, and for the first time, I am not in a rush for it to pass. I might even be able to have this qualify as a Co-op.
This summer has been great in so many ways. I have made some more friends, while also getting closer to some that have stayed in Rochester for the summer. The parties don't stop, and the fun just keeps rollin along. Living with Brian has been a great time, he's probably the easiest person to get along with from a roommate standpoint. Last weekend I had a party for Rachel's birthday and it was great, many familiar faces showed along with a few new faces. I hope everyone had a good time, because I sure as hell did.
This past weekend was probably one of the best I've had in such a long time. A friend of mine came up to Rochester to drop some stuff off at her house for when she comes back to school for good. We went out on a date Friday night at Michelina's, and needless to say, it was a great time. I wasn't nervous at all, but I definitely had some butterflies, since I hadn't seen her in over a year. She looked beautiful as ever, and we had some great conversation at dinner. We then came back to my place to drink some wine, talk some more, play some darts, and have a little bit of fun. We proceeded to go to a party out in eastbumfuck....somewhere in Scottsville. We were quite drunk and a bit cloudy, and to make a long story short, we ended up in Genesee County, LOL. So we came back and stayed up until 630am talking and drinking more wine. We woke up Saturday and went to Denny's where I haven't been since god-knows when. The food was decent and we just made fun of everyone there, cuz we did look a bit trashy and it was 2 in the afternoon. Saturday night we went to Terrace Park, where many people had been partying all night. We didn't arrive till around 230am, so we did miss a few people. But, she met some of my close friends, and we had a good time talking about random things. She is hearing, and this was her first real deaf party, and she enjoyed it more than I thought she would. Sunday morning she made me breakfast, and it was so good. She is from the south, and I appreciate all the little things she does, its really cute. Gotta love that Southern hospitality. It turned out to be a very lazy Sunday, as per usual, and she left this morning to go back home. I can't wait to see her in 2 weeks.
Life is great, I almost feel spoiled. Tomorrow is the first day of August, and I wish it goes by slowly because I am not nearly ready for what looks to be, my final year at RIT.
Well, I should get back to "work". Adios muchachos!

This was written by a guy... it's pretty damn smart. Girls -- Have a sense of humor!
I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.
FOR EXAMPLE:
One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed.
Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said, "WHAT??!! What was that?!"
So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear...
"You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."
She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"
Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.
The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, "Lets get a pair for each outfit."
We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you... she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis.
I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier."
I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, "WHAT?"
I then said, "Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman."
And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"
Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least that *** knows I'm smarter than her.

I love how people can demand so much of you and call you out on false claims, yet they dont live up to their own expectations, and when you call them out on it, they fail to understand the concept.
Rachel and Adrean's party was amazing. More people could have shown up but it wouldnt't have made that much of a difference. I know for a fact that everyone who went had an awesome time. The party was my idea and I did some preppin/decorating for it, so I rock. But Kudos to Neil who did most of the party plannin/preppin. It was a sweet party maybe we can team up again to throw a spring bash too. Again, congrats to Rachel and Adrean.
Its the start of week 10, hell week, crunch time, name it to your liking. Either way, this week will suck balls for the majority. I watched K-Pax the movie today, and it was pretty interesting and I seemed to take a liking to it very much. Movies like these make me think about my own life and what I can do to better it. So yeah somehow I seem to spend money left and right because everytime I view my checking account, the balance seems to dwindle down to nothing. Florida with Justin and Tim is 2 weeks away and I can not wait. It will be a great experience for sure and hopefully the best Spring Break yet. Hopefully it will not cost me too much, but somehow I doubt that.
One more bowling tournament left in my great college bowling career. I am sad, but in a way I am ready to move on to bigger and better things. I just hope this last month is better for me, and that at Sectionals we at least make a run for Nationals.
Remember kids, lay off that crack, sniff jello mix instead, its a good time.

You know what I am sick and tired of reading....
How in love everyone is with their bf or gf in profiles that I read. Its just sickening to my stomach and annoying as all hell how much someone really thinks they love someone else. Love sucks, only a few people I think are lucky when it comes to that department while in college. Most of us are not here in college to find love, more like dating and getting ass. That's normal for people who don't really know what they want. I mean when I read all these gay poems and blah blah blah, and then most of these "couples" have been together for like 3-6 months. That is pathetic, you can not truly love someone in 6 months, at least I think not as much as they convince themselves to be. I am not against people in relationships, but I just wanna stab people in the hand that love to advertise "how much i love you" to their companion. 99% of the time these couples break up for whatever reasons and then I laugh inside, because I think back to how much they really loved each other and it just proves my point. My point is don't claim you have found true love until you have been with someone for at least a year. Yes most of you will say stop reading profiles and get a life, but I am bored at work, but I do agree I need to stop reading profiles when I already know whats gonna be in them. Any thoughts? Seriously does anyone agree or disagree with me on this? I would like to know?

[26 Sep 2005|06:21pm] |
Well,
I am bored so I am updating here at work. Where do I start? Life is great right now...I don't believe I've said that before but wow, now that I am healthy again, life rules. This new year has brought a new me. I have a new job at the Counseling Center counseling crackheads on a daily basis. No I don't counsel crackheads, I am like the receptionist/officeworker on Monday - Thursday from 4:30-7. The job fits perfectly into my schedule and it pays great too. I even beat out Grad Students to get this job, so I will be keeping this until I graduate, whenever the hell that is. School isn't that hard, it just keeps me busy and I am starting to like my classes. I also now live at Colony Manor with my roommate Simon. He is a cool guy thus far. I've only know him for a month and met him through Housing Connections. So the roommate situation is good. Social life is getting better, I am just having a "go with the flow type attitude" and it seems to be working well. I don't see some of my good friends as often but when I do it is most definitely a good time. Making new friends rules too! I am the Captain of the bowling team this year. It is also my last year of eligibility, so I plan to make it the best yet. Being captain is a lot of responsibility but I seem to be handling the pressure just fine and I have even surprised myself as to how well I am doing and how well my teammates are responding to me. I am very excited as our 1st tournament is only 3 weekends away. We are very talented and deep this year so we plan to win some tournaments and kick some serious ass all while having the time of our lives.
Til' next time smoke that crack... Chief Joseph

Well,
Haven't posted in forever. Days go by and I still can't believe that in one month I am going to be a Senior. Unfortunately, I am not graduating this year, but I believe it is a blessing and that everything happens for a reason. Summer has been great to me, I have learned a lot and I am getting anxious for the upcoming year. I am going to be more active in sports like I was in my younger years. I want to play intramural basketball and soccer along with being the Captain of the bowling team. This year for bowling is gonna be the best of my life so far. This year I will also be living at Clayton Arms, but with a new roommate, Justin, who was also my roommate 1st year in the dorms. Neil and Kelly are no longer with me. I learned many things from them, and it was a great year with them, it may have had its ups and downs but it ended better than I could have hoped for. I will miss them as roommates but I am sure we will reunite at parties and hang out because we are great friends.
Right now I am working at Kodak again for the summer. I have 17 working days left, but who's counting. This year is gonna rock, I just hope it goes slow and never leaves us. Also, a month from now Mike is coming home from Iraq and wow that is going to be something. The Santiago's will reunite again and we can have some good times again.

Have you ever come to the conclusion of something and it's so hard to accept it? I have been pondering about my abilities and it is just hard to fathom what I used to be able to do and what I can't do anymore today. The more I practice the worse I seem to get. It used to be my life, and it sure made the last three years with the team one great journey. I feel that I can not endure this pain and suffering anymore, so I am simply going to move on. As of today, I will not be bowling anymore, and have notified the team that I will not be bowling my Senior year for school. I just feel that all the money and time and practice spent in trying to get better has failed me. I do not regret bowling the last three years, for it was the best times of my life. But I think there comes a point where failure at certain things must be accepted and not denied. I feel that for a while I have been in denial of my deteriorating abilities. It is difficult to give something up, especially when I have had a love for the game since I began at the young age of 8 years old. If anyone has insight or wants to express their opinion feel free to do so. I wish all the luck in the world to the guys on the team and I hope they go to nationals next year.
Much Love, The Crackhead

| A New Year |
[02 Jan 2005|04:11pm] |
Holy Potatos.......it' been awhile since I've updated this thing. I am sick of reading the same people's updated shit so why not be pro-active and produce my own pile of shit here!
What can I say, this month has been by far the best of my life. Starting with Thanksgiving break up until my 21st birthday was great. I want to give a belated thanks to all those that came to my party. Hope you all had as much fun as I did. Then another bowling tournament came along and we did fairly well by finishing in 3rd place. Moving up along to Christmas break. Break was slow at first and boring but very relaxing and chill as well. Then Christmas came and went and I gained 5 pounds as a result of eating all that damn good food. I love my grandma to death because she makes the best damn food ever. Also, I received a shitload of gifts this year that I really didn't expect at all. I was especially happy when my nephews thought I bought them the best gifts ever. Then the infamous Atlantic City 5 day bowling adventure! Wow, I can't believe it's already over because I had so much fuckin fun with the guys on the team and going to Atlantic City and bowling fairly decent. Good times were had and many laughs shared. I want to proudly say that the RIT Bowling team shot an astounding 1222 for a single game. To put things into perspective for those of you who do not realize what 1222 in a single game means.....we basically shot one of the top 10 Team scores of the year ....in the entire nation! I am glad to be apart of that. Last but not least, for those of you who don't know, I currently have a girlfriend. As of late, I have been a very happy man, to say the least. If you want to know who it is and do not already know, feel free to ask. HAHA! Happy New Year's Everybody! Only 7 more weeks to go!!!!!
Also, please keep USMC Lance Corporal Mike Santiago, who will be going to Iraq soon, in your thoughts.

| The in-depth interview with Joe Corrente |
[29 Aug 2004|03:23pm] |
well folks this will be the post that comes from within the deepest depths of my soul
remember way back when we were freshmen in college during orientation week. we were all excited about college and drinking but scared of meeting new people who might not accept us at first. we thought the food at dc or gracies was the best food we've ever had, and jenna jameson was our new girl friend. remember that first party we went to or the first time you puked from drinking so much. remember that first time you got high or the first time you lost your keys. man it seems like so long ago we did all these things, but really it was only 2 years ago.
the point of this entry is that along the way we've made friends, and had girlfriends/boyfriends, fallen down the stairs at a party, failed a test or even a course, and basically gone on the biggest rollercoaster ride of our lives.
through all the ups and downs and tough times with family and self doubt ive managed to overcome what life sends my way. i think i am a strong person who always finds a way to accomplish or reach my goals. my sister has definitely been a huge help to me since shes the only one i can really talk to and get along with in the family. all of my friends of recent and past are so valuable to me and i just want to say thanks for being there and thanks for showing me what its like to have some fun. without you guys i would not be who i am today....in a small way i am a reflection of all my friends and family. so cheers to the midpoint of our college lives and damn we got 2-3 more great years ahead of us. so lets make the best of it and keep on smokin crack
keep it real bitches ~The One, The Only.....CrackheadJoe
